You’re used to as soon as you drink a cup of coffee, immediately wash the cups and throw the so precious grounds. Not many people know that this is a practical and economical way to do many things in the house.
The coffee grounds can be used for many things, from beauty to cleaning the house.
- Clean stubborn dirt from tiles or worktops
Combine the coffee grounds with soapy water and rub the spot with a stain.
- Clean the dirty barbecue
The granular texture of the grounds helps to get rid of fat concentration.
- Unclog the sink
If your sink if clogged, pour some coffee grounds, followed by liquid soap and a cup of boiled water.
- Remove the fleas from your pet
When bathing a dog or a cat, after the shampoo and before washing, rub coffee grounds in the root of their fur.
- Remove scratches from the furniture
Combine the coffee grounds with vinegar and warm water and gently rub that mixture on the scratched surface. Use cotton swabs to remove the remnants of the mixture.
- Clean the frying pan
Use this method only if you have stubborn stains.
- Add coffee grounds to the cake mix
Instead of milk, you can add fresh coffee grounds for richer coffee taste.
- Spice up the taste of meat
When caramelized, the coffee grounds form crust that leaves the interior of meat juicy. This gives a bittersweet taste to your grill.
- Remove the odor of onion
After you finish slicing onions, rub coffee grounds in your hands. This will neutralize the odor.

Tea bags aren’t the only ones that they can do wonders. Mix coffee grounds with water and make a paste. Put the mixture on the swollen area and leave it for 15 minutes. Rinse it.

Massage the problem area with a mixture of coffee grounds and coconut oil, leave it for a few minutes and then rinse it. Do this every day, and in two weeks you will notice the change.

Rich in nitrogen, coffee grounds are a good fertilizer and that’s why worms worship it. If you have a pile where you put fertilizer, use fresh grass and leaves with coffee grounds.
Do not use this mixture right away, because it takes some time for the compost to be useful.

This particularly affects the hydrangea, since their color is easily manipulated. Add the coffee grounds on the soil and the pH level will make them have blue color.
Mix coffee grounds with water and you can get a good “sepia” effect.
- Make an old wood to seem as a new one
Coffee grounds, vinegar, cleaning wire and an old jar are all you need. Insert the wire and coffee grounds on the bottom of the jar and pour the vinegar to the top. Let the mixture stay for one day. The vinegar will dissolve the wire and you will be able to use it. After twenty-four hours, remove the wire and color the wood with it. Let this layer dry, then clean the remains and put another layer.
