One of the most useful vegetables in the country, garlic, can be found in every kitchen in the world. Besides giving the food a special flavor, it also treats a number of health problems.
Although it is commonly consumed cooked, raw garlic is a more powerful natural remedy.
According to studies, garlic has been proven to be extremely useful for improving heart health, because it reduces high blood pressure and cholesterol, prevents heart disease and the risk of heart failure. It can also effectively reduce the effects of atherosclerosis.
As an added bonus, garlic can also facilitate common health problems, including hay fever, diarrhea, colds and flu, insect bites and fungal infections.
Regular consumption of garlic can reduce the symptoms of osteoarthritis, diabetes and enlarged prostate.
In addition, garlic can boost your immune system and improve the body’s ability to eliminate toxins. When combined with ginger and onions, garlic can support detoxification of chemotherapy.
How to use garlic
As previously mentioned, eating raw garlic is more useful than when we eat it cooked, because its active ingredient, allicin, remains in its natural (i.e. the most beneficial) form. For optimal health benefits, eat garlic 15 minutes before meals. This will trigger a chemical reaction that makes allicin to be more easily absorbed by your body.
Another thing that promotes the health benefits of garlic is that it should be eaten on an empty stomach. The thing is, when your stomach is full of food, it is harder for the body to digest and absorb all nutrients in garlic.
Since garlic cloves have been known for their taste, a great way to destroy the flavor is so that we mix them with honey:
Chop 2-3 garlic cloves finely
Blend it with 1 teaspoon of honey.
Take this medicine every day. In seven days, you will feel much better and stronger.
How to make a tonic of garlic
If you have sensitive skin, wear gloves during the preparation of garlic, because some of the natural oils can cause a rash or burn.
Half a garlic head (chopped)
5 garlic cloves (chopped)
2 red chili peppers (chopped)
1 tablespoon ginger (chopped)
Juice of one lemon
Organic, unfiltered and raw apple cider vinegar
Take a jar of 350-500ml. Put coarsely chopped garlic, garlic clove, chili peppers and ginger inside.
Then add the lemon juice.
Fill the jar with apple cider vinegar, leaving it a little empty at the top (about 1cm).
