Scientists claim that ginger kills cancer cells, and not only that, but forces them to kill each other.
So far, we have had various claims of people who have been cured by ginger or know someone who has been cured that way, but now scientists claim that this miraculous root kills cancer cells, and not only that, but forces them to kill each other.
Cancer cells begin to attack each other and destroy each other, but this spice also helps in alleviating nausea and pain for people undergoing chemotherapy.
Ginger has long been used to treat inflammation and nausea, but the results which were presented at the lecture of the American Association for Cancer Research reveal that when ginger powder is used to treat cancer, the cancer cells die after being exposed to this ingredient. In medical parlance this is called apoptosis – programmed cell death. When ginger is present, the cancer cells even attack each other, and this is called autophagy.
Although ginger is considered as a great natural remedy for those undergoing chemotherapy, people who have cancer cannot use it on their own in large quantities. Another study that demonstrates the ability of ginger in the fight against ovarian cancer says: “Ginger inhibits the growth and models the secretion of angiogenic factors in ovarian cancer cells. The use of dietary substances as ginger has potential in the treatment and prevention of ovarian cancer. ”
The value of ginger, as experts say, is in the content of active substances that have analgesic, sedative, antipyretic and antibacterial effects. Consumption of ginger cures stomach intestinal disorders resulting from travel sickness or pregnancy.
Simultaneously, ginger has no undesirable side effects, such as, for example, drowsiness, which occurs by taking the pharmaceutical compositions. It facilitates digestion (stimulates peristalsis and the secretion of gastric juice), acts against bloating and calms the stomach-intestinal cramps.
Ginger is also taken to strengthen the appetite. It has preventive effect against infectious diseases as it is an antiseptic (destroys microorganisms), stimulates the secretion of mucus and this way relieves cough and pain in the throat. It also acts anti-inflammatory, it relates to many diseases, among other things, to rheumatoid arthritis (when taking ginger reduces pain), swellings and morning stiffness, and improves joint mobility.
It acts as an anticoagulant or prevents clotting and thrombus formation. It is beneficial to the liver and reduces cholesterol. It helps with migraines and other types of headaches. Also, ginger lowers fever. It acts as an antioxidant, or against the harmful effects of free radicals, and among other things contains curcumin, and works against cancer and atherosclerosis.
Ginger can be used in unlimited quantities, as spice, as juice or tea in food or drink. As spice, it is present in all the stores, and as a root, you can find it in health food stores.
