The basic formula of this powerful tonic comes from medieval Europe, i.e. from the time when people were suffering from numerous diseases.

Recipe for the tonic
You may want to wear gloves when preparing the tonic, because you will handle hot peppers. Please note that the smell of the tonic is strong, and it immediately stimulates sinuses.
– 670 g or 700 ml of organic apple cider vinegar
– ¼ cup finely chopped garlic
– ¼ cup finely chopped onion
– 2 fresh peppers, the hottest you can find
– ¼ cup grated ginger
– 2 tablespoons grated horseradish
– 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder or 2 pieces of turmeric root
Mix all of the ingredients, except for the vinegar, in a bowl. Transfer the mixture into a jar. Pour the apple cider vinegar to the top. Approximately 2/3 of the jar should be filled with the dry ingredients, and the remaining with the vinegar. Seal and shake. Keep the jar in a cool and dry place for two weeks. Shake it well a few times a day.
After 14 days, strain the liquid through a strainer, preferably gauze. The rest of the dry mixture can be utilized in cooking. The tonic is ready for use. You do not have to store it in the fridge.
Tip: You can use it as a salad dressing in combination with olive oil or in soups.
Beware! The taste is very strong and hot!
Tip: Eat a slice of orange, lemon or lime before you drink the tonic to alleviate the hot taste. Keep the tonic in the mouth for a little while and then swallow it. Do not dissolve it in water, as its effect can be alleviated. Take one tablespoon per day to strengthen your immune system. Increase the amount each day, until you reach a dose of one small glass (a liquor glass).
If you battle with a serious illness or infection, take one tablespoon of tonic 5-6 times a day.
Tonic is safe for pregnant women and children because the ingredients are completely natural, but you should take it in small doses.
