Lumbago, or known among people as back pain, is one of the major health issues. Why is that so? Our spine has 33 vertebrae, all of them are associated with the majority of the muscles, ligaments, and they all hold the body. The upright position is caused by the nervous roots of arms and legs. The spine has many functions and is therefore exposed to mechanical actions of load all the time.
The spine has different parts that produce various ranges of motion. Therefore, the neck has extremely high mobility and the thoracic part – lower mobility. With the transition from one to another part, a variety of changes can be caused, which are often a source of pain.
People who work a hard physical work, or work while sitting, people with osteoporosis, or older people with degenerative disorders are the ones who most suffer from low back pain. How to treat and prevent this problem? Many conducted research have shown that using a plant called Comfrey, which can be found in wet fields, meadows and near the water, people who suffer from pain in the lower back will have a much easier life.
Another study done by the German Sports University tested 120 people with pain in the lower back, by giving them fat of Comfrey root. The British newspaper of Sports Medicine published the results and they showed that people solved the problem with back pain successfully in only five days, using this fat.
